The Galapagos Islands in Ecuador probably is the only airport in the world that generates it own electricity for the operations using green renewable technologies. The government of Ecuador has installed a set of wind mills to generate electricity and keep environmental impact to minimum by inculuding recycling in this mix. This is a very important approach for the preservation of these delicate islands.
